Photography: A piece of history.

Today, I want to show you an important and unforgettable photo.

Thích Quảng Đức is the man in the picture, he was a budist monk who was protesting against the government of Vietnam, because people who follow budism were being pursued. The monk was in one of the main streets in Saigon. Showing desperation, this monk burnt himself, and his history has traveled around the world. This photograph was taken in 1963 by Malcolm Browne, a famous photographer who won the Pulitzer after showing this photo to the world.
This picture calls my atention because it shows how some persons who have control over a society, abuse them, and they don't tolerant people who think in a different way. And how deseperate persons do unbelievable things to support a cause. Ideas such as culture and religion must be respected, expressing freedom is very important, and everybody should be allowed to be the way they want.
Today this photo is a culture icon, and even Rage Against The Machine, a famous american band, used this picture in one of their cd cover, bridging the generations gap. I wish that events like this, will never happen again.

Don't Forget the Pop-Corn!!

The cinema has been always an important form of art. So far in history there have been a lot of good movies that have been very succesfull, but my favourite movie isn't very famous.Paradoxically, the movie is called ''Almost Famous'',and it's about William Miller, a young journalist who travels with a rock band around U.S.A, while they travel, William knows a new world and learns about a new lifestyle with rockstars. It's a great story, where there are love, good music, jokes, etc. I love it!, I have seen it eight times. In strangly recomend it.
But ''Almost Famous'' it isn't the only one movie, the last week I went to watch ''The Avengers'', that tells the story about a strange reunion that joins the Marvel superheroes. It's a grat movie, the special effects are awesome, and the fights between Hulk, Thor, Iron Man, Captain America v/s Loki are fantastic!
And finally I would like to remember a great movie, well, it's a saga, I am talking about ''Back to the future'', it's a super saga, where Dr. Emett Brown, and Marty Mcfly travel in time in the DeLorean, to the past and the future, and change some facts that make the difference with our reality, and the new reality that they were creating.
Those movies are a really good piece of art, and I will remain in my memory for years and years. So, I just can say that... Buy snacks, turn off the lights, because tonight we'll have a cinema experience!
