Animals in our lives

If you ask me I didn't consider myself as a animal love, but the things are changing, because my girlfriend loves animals, specially dogs, so, I have changed my mind and my relation with animals.
When I was I kid I had a dog called ''Simba'', he lived for 12 years, and he died because he was atacked by another dog in a fight. It was really sad moment for my family. But years later, we received two new dogs, called ''Pancho'' and ''Elvis'' (Yes, like ''The King''). Pancho is a Cocker Spaniel, and Elvis a Golden Retriever. I think dogs are the best pets ever, in fact they are the best friend of the man, my girlfriend also has a dog called ''Mateo'', he is like our son.
Talking about wild animals, I think people shouldn't earn money abusing them as they were slaves. Places like circus and zoos are too unfair for the freedom that the animals deserve. So, people neither wear coats made with animal skin, because to make these coats, necessilary animals die in a very cruel way.
If I could be an animal I would like a Panda, because are really cute, unics, and they have a health life eating bambu all the day.

A word, two words, three words.. welcome to literature!

Did you enjoy reading books when you were a child? The answer is almost just one: NO, but in my case I remember that I read good books when I was a child, and I still remember them. The first book that I read was ''Un paseo al campo'' in the second grade, and after that, I continue reading books, I have read more than 100 books in my life.
When I was a pre-teenager I read three books that changed my life, ''El Tunel'' by Ernesto Sabato, where the main character is Juan Pablo Castel who is my favorite character in literature,''Del amor y otros demonios'' and ''Cien años de soledad'' by Gabriel García Marquez who is my favorite writer.
I really enjoyed when I read these 3 books, ''Cien años de soledad'' has almost 400 pages, so I read it in 3 weeks, and the anothers I read them in 10 days. If I have to choose one of the 3 books, I'd choose ''Cien años de soledad'' because it's a great family story that shows the best and the worst of the familiar relationships. I think everybody sould read it before die, because it's a great book. a great strory written by one of the best writer in history.

''The Praetor''

Today, I'm going to talk you about a person that I admire a lot, he is Francisco Samper. He is a teacher of our university, he teaches Roman Right, and Legal Latin. Francisco was born in 1932 in Valparaíso, Chile. He studied and graduated from Catolic University of Valparaiso in 1961, and 4 years later, he graduated from Navarra University. He wrote an important book about Roman Right, that a lot of teachers recomend it.
I admire him, because he is a simple man, he isn't superb, he knows all about Roman Right and Latin, and he always teaches with all the patience of the world, his classes are very clear, so the most of the times I can understand all that he says. He is one of the best teache I've ever had and the most important he is a great person with a big heart, he helps us to be better persons, and become in good adults and of course, in great lawyers.

Photography: A piece of history.

Today, I want to show you an important and unforgettable photo.

Thích Quảng Đức is the man in the picture, he was a budist monk who was protesting against the government of Vietnam, because people who follow budism were being pursued. The monk was in one of the main streets in Saigon. Showing desperation, this monk burnt himself, and his history has traveled around the world. This photograph was taken in 1963 by Malcolm Browne, a famous photographer who won the Pulitzer after showing this photo to the world.
This picture calls my atention because it shows how some persons who have control over a society, abuse them, and they don't tolerant people who think in a different way. And how deseperate persons do unbelievable things to support a cause. Ideas such as culture and religion must be respected, expressing freedom is very important, and everybody should be allowed to be the way they want.
Today this photo is a culture icon, and even Rage Against The Machine, a famous american band, used this picture in one of their cd cover, bridging the generations gap. I wish that events like this, will never happen again.

Don't Forget the Pop-Corn!!

The cinema has been always an important form of art. So far in history there have been a lot of good movies that have been very succesfull, but my favourite movie isn't very famous.Paradoxically, the movie is called ''Almost Famous'',and it's about William Miller, a young journalist who travels with a rock band around U.S.A, while they travel, William knows a new world and learns about a new lifestyle with rockstars. It's a great story, where there are love, good music, jokes, etc. I love it!, I have seen it eight times. In strangly recomend it.
But ''Almost Famous'' it isn't the only one movie, the last week I went to watch ''The Avengers'', that tells the story about a strange reunion that joins the Marvel superheroes. It's a grat movie, the special effects are awesome, and the fights between Hulk, Thor, Iron Man, Captain America v/s Loki are fantastic!
And finally I would like to remember a great movie, well, it's a saga, I am talking about ''Back to the future'', it's a super saga, where Dr. Emett Brown, and Marty Mcfly travel in time in the DeLorean, to the past and the future, and change some facts that make the difference with our reality, and the new reality that they were creating.
Those movies are a really good piece of art, and I will remain in my memory for years and years. So, I just can say that... Buy snacks, turn off the lights, because tonight we'll have a cinema experience!

Just Play!!

My favourite piece of technology is Nintendo Wii. Last year, everybody was talking about the new videogames, and one of the most popular and cheapest was the Nintendo Wii, but I needed money to buy one, so, I tried to save it, but I couldn't afford one. In December, my brothers and me, received a big surprise, the Nintendo Wii was under the Christmas tree, we were very happy, so, we started to play immediately.
This year we have bought great  games, and we have had a lot of good times playing the funniest games you could wish for, but we play just the weekends, because my dad says that we must study in the others days.
I love Nintendo Wii, because you can play it with control, and with your own body, also you can play with all your family, it is not just for kids, and finally, Nintendo Wii has the best games, such as Mario Kart Wii, The Legend Of Zelda, The Guitar Hero Saga, Pro Evolution Soccer, etc. In my opinion playing Nintendo Wii games is an important way to bring generations together, thanks to it the Nintendo Wii Games, everybody can play, your dad, your mom, even your grandpa, so, enjoy these games and... Just Play!! :)

ROCK WILL NEVER DIE!!!!

Music in my life is very important, but, What kind of music do I like? I love rock music. Since the 50's rock music has caused a big sensation in people who listen to it. When rock music started, it was played by black farmers and normal people, but years later, it was very popular in all the society in the U.S.A, but the best rock was born in England, with The Beatles, later with Led Zeppelin and Queen, and years later with Iron Maiden and Judas Priest, and in the 90's with bands like Oasis, but in that decade U.S.A revived with Grunge, led by bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains and Soundgarden.

Nowadays my favorite bands are Avenged Sevenfold, Bullet for My Valentine and Rhapsody of Fire. The first is an American metalcore band led by M. Shadows who with Synyster Gates (main guitarrist) make a great team. The second, Bullet For my Valentine, is an a metalcore band from Wales. I had one of the best moments of my life, when I saw them live, it was amazing. And the last one, Rhapsody Of Fire is an italian powermetal band that I love, I even have a t-shirt of them.

And remember...Rock will never die!
